Implications from Gravity and Gladness


Picking up where I left off last week, I want to build on the summary Piper’s seminar, Gravity and Gladness to apply these truths to individual lives. Even as I tease out these implications, some of what I have written comes from his lectures directly and all of it is built on them.

We were created to reflect the glory of God by delighting in Him. We were created to worship. Again, true worship is a joyful satisfaction in God for who He is and what He has done, is doing, and will do and it overflows as expressions of affection for God and other people.

This idea is foundational and for many 21st century American Christians it is paradigm-shifting. Consider the following implications of true worship in a believer’s life.
